Correction to January 1, 2026, Water Billing Rate

The Stewartstown Sewer & Water Authority has identified an issue affecting the January 1, 2026 water bill. Water usage occurring between September 25, 2025, and December 25, 2025, was inadvertently invoiced at the new 2026 rate due to a billing software error.

The issue has been fully resolved, and safeguards have been implemented to prevent similar billing errors in the future. Usage for the period of September 25, 2025, through December 25, 2025, has now been recalculated and a corrected bill posted to your account based on the 2025 water rates and that service period.

If you have already paid the higher water bill, a credit reflecting the overcharge will be applied to your next water billing invoice, which is scheduled for April 2026.

If you have NOT yet paid the higher bill, you can find the corrected bill on your account by logging into our bill pay portal through our website, www.stewartstown.org.

If you do NOT have access to a computer or the internet, please call the Borough Office and your new bill can either be mailed to you, or you may pick it up at the office.
