Q. I need to be fingerprinted for work, adoptions, etc?
A. The Stewartstown Police Department will fingerprint any borough resident
for free. All other persons there is a $20 fee. You must supply the
fingerprint cards. Bring valid photo identification. Please call the
office to schedule an appointment.
Q. What is the motor vehicle insurance laws in Pennsylvania?
A. All registered motor vehicles in Pennsylvania are required to have valid
insurance. Contact any Pa. insurance agent for required coverage.
Q. I just moved into Pennsylvania, how do I get a Pennsylvania drivers
license?
A. The driver's exam center for York County is located at 2142 South Queen
Street, York Pennsylvania.
Q. What about changing vehicle registration?
A. Contact any public notary for registration information.
Q. What is the legal age to possess or consume alcoholic beverages?
A. In Pennsylvania the legal age is 21 years of age. Any person under the
age of 21 possessing or consuming alcohol will face criminal charges with fines
up to $500.00 and/or 90 days in jail. Also their driver's license will be
suspended, even if they were not driving a vehicle.
Q. Can people ride in the back of a pick-up truck?
A. You cannot drive a pick-up truck with any person over the age of 18 years
in the rear (bed area), faster than 35 mph. You CANNOT carry ANY children under
the age of 18 in the rear of any pick-up truck.
